My Favorite Male Singers of All Time

1. Marvin Gaye
Pure soul. Heard him in the grocery store the other day singing Mercy Mercy Me (The ecology song). Reminded me to put him on my list as one of the greatest. Also like What's Going On.

2. Neil Diamond
How can I forget this guy? Among my many favorites: Hello Again, Solitary Man.

3. Jose Feliciano
His best song:
Light My Fire. Heard it on the radio yesterday-awesome! Went to his concert at BYU in the mid-70's.

2. Elton John
Especially like Can You Feel The Love Tonight.

3. Phil Collins
Two Hearts and Sussudio, his best I think.

4. John Lennon
Really like his songs Woman and Imagine - bought his greatest hits cassette.

5. Del Shannon
Runaway - went to a youth activity where they played this song on a record player.

6. Lou Rawls

You'll Never Find. Has the greatest deep, bass voice.

7. Stevie Wonder
Isn't She Lovely - dedicated this song to our first daughter after she was born.

8. Bill Withers
Ain't No Sunshine (When She's Gone)

My Favorite Female Singers of All Time

1. Karen Carpenter (Carpenters)
I especially like This Masquerade and Superstar. Saw her and Richard in concert in El Paso, Texas.

2. Marilyn McCoo (Fifth Dimension)
Saw them in concert in El Paso too. Especially like Last Night (I Didn't Get to Sleep at All) and One Less Bell to Answer.

3. Taylor Dayne
I'll Be Your Shelter - this song gave me a lot of comfort during a tough time in my life.

4. Gladys Knight (and the Pips)
Midnight Train to Georgia is her best song, I think. I Heard it Through the Grapevine is the best version of this particular song.
